Effective children safeguarding relies on clear policies, reliable procedures and staff who understand their responsibilities. Team members must be able to recognise concerns and take appropriate action when a child may be at risk.
Parker TC provides safeguarding consultancy and training to children’s homes across Tyne and Wear. We can review existing policies and procedures, consider current working practices and help providers identify areas that may require further development.
Our safeguarding level 3 training provides relevant staff with a more detailed understanding of how to protect children and young people.
The course covers important subjects such as recognising safeguarding concerns, risk assessment, child protection legislation, effective communication and professional responsibilities. It helps participants develop the knowledge and confidence needed to respond appropriately when concerns arise.
Safeguarding Level 3 training is available to residential care providers and other relevant organisations throughout Tyne and Wear.
Regulation 44 visits provide independent scrutiny of the quality of care and safeguarding arrangements within a children’s home. They can help providers understand how effectively the service is operating and identify areas in which improvements may be required.
Parker TC offers Regulation 44 support to children’s homes across Tyne and Wear. We can help providers consider findings from visits and inspections, review their current position and respond to recommendations or areas for improvement.
